What is Art Therapy?

NDIS Art Therapist working with participants

Art therapy is a creative form of therapy that uses art as a means of self-expression and communication. Art therapists work with individuals to develop personalised programs that incorporate art-making as a tool for healing and personal growth.

Art Therapy is a unique form of therapy that allows individuals to explore a wide range of life experiences and concerns safely and gently.

Words can sometimes limit our ability to express our deepest
emotions, which is where art can come in. Abbi encourages participants to express themselves on their own terms and in their own unique way, whether through painting, sculpture, music, or other mediums.
