Kolinda firmly believes in adopting a holistic and inclusive approach that centers around the unique needs of everyone, placing a particular emphasis on the importance of family and friendships. Her overarching goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by offering personalised support tailored to their specific needs.
Experience and Qualifications
Kolinda is a dedicated Developmental Educator with a Bachelor's degree in education and disability studies. She also serves as the Director of Zest Project Co. Additionally, Kolinda hosts our Young Adult Getaways, which occur every three months, and organises Young Adult Catch-Ups between these Getaways to promote meaningful relationships and provide opportunities for authentic connections among participants.
Kolinda's Mission
Kolinda's mission revolves around enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. To achieve this, she employs a range of therapeutic techniques and utilises a multifaceted approach to assist individuals with various aspects such as emotional regulation, social and community participation, employment and education.
What is Developmental Education?

Developmental Educators are qualified professionals who specialise in working with people with disability using a human rights framework. Their practice centres on the lived experience, needs, goals and aspirations of people with disability.
Developmental Educators collaborate with people with disability to promote inclusion and address environmental barriers. They do so by employing a range of professional and technical skills including applying developmental, behavioural, learning and social theories; assessing the person and their environment; collaborative planning and goal setting; teaching skills through evidence based instructional strategies; supporting life transitions; programming, monitoring and evaluation; advocacy; community education; and capacity building.
